How it works
- 1
Set up an old iPad
Put it on a stand where Mom sits and plug it in. It stays on day and night, dims at bedtime, and there's nothing for her to tap.
- 2
Share a calendar called “Mom's Day”
Make it in your own Calendar app, iCloud or Google, and share it with the iPad. Brothers and sisters can share it too. No new app to learn, no account.
- 3
Add a visit. The board does the rest.
Type “Emily visiting, 2 pm” on your phone. Mom's board shows it with Emily's photo and says it out loud.
What Mom sees
$4.99, once.
No subscription. No account. Nothing leaves the iPad. Showing the day and the night screen will always be free; today's plan, photos and voice notes come with the one-time unlock. (Planned price.)
Questions
When is it coming?
We're aiming for early 2027. People on the waitlist hear first, and testers get it before anyone else.
Which iPads will it run on?
Any iPad that runs iPadOS 17 or later. That's the 2018 iPad (6th generation) and newer, so an older family iPad is perfect.
Does Mom need to do anything?
No. There's nothing to tap or learn. Settings sit behind a lock, and Guided Access can keep the iPad on Day Board.
Is it a medical device?
No. Day Board is a clock and a calendar. It doesn't diagnose, treat or prevent anything; it just shows the day clearly.
What's in the film?
A concept film. The people are AI-generated and the board's screens are design previews of the app we're building.
Privacy
If you join the waitlist we keep your email address, whether you'd like to test, and the optional “I'm…” answer. We use them only to email you about Day Board: once when it launches, and a test invite if you asked for one. They're stored with Cloudflare, and never sold or shared.
